Guzin is a native of Istanbul, Turkey.

 

She attended the Austrian High School in Istanbul which was established in 1882. While in ninth grade, her family moved to the United States and she graduated from M.D. Bradford High

School in Michigan.

 

After high school, she enrolled in the Classical Archeology department at Istanbul University in the marvelous city of Istanbul.

 

In 1969 she got married and moved to the United States again this time with her husband where she continued her interest in art.

 

After returning to Turkey, she obtained her degree in Classical Archaeology in 1972. 

 

She started painting with one of the key female pioneers of painting in Turkey in 1986.

 

Between 1988-1994 she studied with two different instructors.

 

Since 1994, she continues to work from her workshop in Istanbul.
